Through my artwork, centered around people and nature in a mix of representational and abstract, my hope is to give the viewer a visual story to feel, experience and connect to the world through color, line, symbols and textures, to gain a deeper understanding of themselves, their relationships, and the natural world.
Originally from the midwest, I spent over 17 years in Boston, MA, and now I live, play and paint in Portland, OR.
In addition to abstract and watercolor wildlife paintings, I create greetings, and write and illustrate children’s books to help kids strengthen their relationships with the natural world.
I also am the founder of the Dirty Boots Project, and co-founder of Root 22, two environmental wellness endeavors where I use my writing, art, wellness, outdoors enrichment, and love for working with people to help inspire, empower and educate them to live healthier, happier more socially and environmentally connected lives.
